Is TryProducts / Daily Goodie Box / TreatSpot a Scam?
There have been many questions posted about whether these companies are legit or a scam. In short, they are NOT A SCAM. However, it is very easy to see why someone might think so. I have received tons of products from them without having to sign up for anything or click any ads. In this post I will be breaking down exactly how these sites work, and how to use them properly to avoid any scammy looking ads and sign-ups.
What Exactly Is TryProducts / Daily Goodie Box / TreatSpot?
These are all the same company, operate the same way, and have almost all of the same brands and products offered. However, they each have their own website and social media accounts. They are free online platforms that connect consumers with promotional offers from brands. They give away both samples and sometimes full-sized free products for you to try, mailed right to your home. They would like you to provide feedback on the products after trying them out. Though I have not found this to be required.
Unlike traditional coupon sites, Try Products / Goodiebox / TreatSpot focuses on product discovery. It’s not just about saving money – it’s about trying new things.
Whats the difference between TryProducts / Daily Goodie Box / TreatSpot?
There isn’t much of a difference between TryProducts and TreatSpot. They seem to alternate between the same brands, where one brand is offered one day on TryProducts and then maybe the next on Treatspot. They operate exactly the same.
Daily Goodie Box operates the same way. However, the offering is different. If you are selected for a product on any day, you will receive a full box of samples, not just the single product you were selected to try. This is by far the best of the 3 sites as you will get a lot of products. However, this is also the hardest to get selected for.
What Kind of Products Can You Get?
Try Products / Daily Goodie Box / TreatSpot features a wide variety of categories, including:
| Category | Examples |
|---|---|
| Snacks & Beverages | Protein bars, coffee pods, sparkling water |
| Beauty & Skincare | Moisturizers, serums, makeup samples |
| Household Items | Cleaners, laundry pods, air fresheners |
| Health & Wellness | Supplements, vitamins, wellness teas |
Some of the products I have personally received:
- CBD seltzer
- Sunflower crisps
- Hand sanitizer 2 pack
- A box of 3 full sized Spero sunflower cream cheeses
- I have received around 20 products from a mix of these 3 sites

Why do people think it’s a scam?
Most people go to the website to sign up for the free products. When you click to apply for a product, it makes you go through tons of different survey questions which then redirects you to sketchy looking websites to sign up for different programs like the example screenshot below. If you do sign up for any of these programs, you will be inundated with spam emails. So don’t do this! Continue reading to learn how to utilize these companies to get free products without the spam or sign-ups.

How does it work?
The hardest part? Figuring out how to get started as it’s not intuitive. The issue is that you will likely not get any products by using their website. You must comment on their Facebook posts! They don’t make this clear as they earn commissions with ads and sign ups on their website.

Make sure to follow each one (TryProducts/Daily Goodie Box/TreatSpot) on Facebook. Every day except Friday and Saturdays they each post a product that they are giving away for free. This is usually in the afternoon between 3PM – 6PM EST. You need to comment on why you would like to try it, and they will choose people to receive them by replying to your comment that you have been chosen. You should comment on the earlier side before they give everything out. You then need to go to their site and send them a message saying you were chosen with some basic info (if you were selected). You will need to create a basic login on their website first such as your name, email, and address. Make sure to not mention anything about never being chosen in the comment or they will disqualify you from getting the item. I recommend mentioning something about how the product will help you or why you need it. For example, if it was nut free spread you could say that you have an intolerance to peanuts and that you are looking for a new brand of nut free spread.
Do not try and get any free stuff from their website as it is littered with ads that you should not click on or sign up for (all spam). As far as I can tell they don’t ever select anyone from website submission either. So, stick with Facebook.
I find they typically give out 1 product per month to people who comment regularly, and it will be 1 product from any of their companies. So, one month you may get chosen on the TryProducts page and another month it might be TreatSpot. If you are chosen from one page, you will not get chosen from other pages that month so you shouldn’t bother commenting more until the next month. I almost always get 1 product per month for free.
Getting Started Summary
- Sign up for accounts on each website below but don’t sign up for any offers on them. I would also use an email you use for spam just in case:
- Next follow the below Facebook pages:
- Check the pages between 3PM–6PM EST Monday – Thursday and Sunday and look for a new product giveaway post.
- Comment why you could use the product. Make sure it’s before the company account replied to other people’s comments says “Congratulations you have been selected”.
- Wait until later that night and check your Facebook again. Check if you have received a reply stating you have been selected.
- If you weren’t selected then try again tomorrow
- If you were selected go to the website for whichever page selected you. Scroll to the bottom and send them a message through the contact form stating your name and that you were selected.
- In 24–48 hours you will receive a confirmation. The product will arrive at your house in around 1 month.
- They would like you to give feedback on the product, but it doesn’t seem required. The survey will appear in your account.

Final Thoughts
If you use these sites as I stated above, then you won’t have to deal with any spam or scammy sign-ups! The products have all been really good, and these sites have been a consistent source for freebies. It’s unfortunate that they make the process so hard to figure out. Despite the term “scam” being thrown around a lot when talking about these companies, they are definitely not a scam. You just need to avoid those website sign-ups!
