What are Topbox Circle Points?

This is a question everybody has been asking. Do they increase your chances of future product tests? Can they be redeemed for anything? Are they actually important?

Here we will go into a brief explanation that should help everybody understand what Topbox Circle points are and what they do.

If you log into your Topbox Circle account, you’ll also see something called “Points” on your account page. You earn points for completing missions and completing surveys.

From the Topbox Circle site:
“While points are not redeemable for any tangible rewards and have no monetary value, earning points shows us that you’re an engaged sharer so we will keep rewarding you with more opportunities to potentially join in Missions, discussions, surveys and more!”

In other words, completing more product tests may increase your chances of being selected in the future, as it builds trust with the platform. They are a way to track your engagement and show how active you are on the platform and almost act as a credibility score. However, you can’t redeem them or use them for rewards.  In my opinion, and based on reading other people’s experiences, points may help a tiny bit in the selection process, but they don’t seem to make a huge difference. Some people with a ton of points have barely been selected for new missions while others with few points have had multiple active product tests at once. Your profile and demographic choices are a much larger factor in the selection process.

Full description from Topbox Circle:

“You can earn points for every activity you take on Topbox Circle from filling out your profile, sharing on Missions, taking surveys and more. While points are not redeemable for any tangible rewards and have no monetary value, earning points shows us that you’re an engaged sharer so we will keep rewarding you with more opportunities to potentially join in Missions, discussions, surveys and more! If you do not earn points, this will reduce your chances for future opportunities within Topbox Circle. It would be a missed opportunity if you end a Mission without earning any points – start earning them today!”

Conclusion:

It definitely doesn’t hurt to have more points as they may give you a slight advantage in the selection process. However, your profile and demographic play a much bigger role in getting selected. Maybe these points will have value down the line, but for now, they really aren’t too important and are not worth worrying about.
