Instead of traditional advertising, companies partner with Ripple Street to distribute products directly to consumers who will try them, share their experiences, and spread the word online and offline.
There are three main types of campaigns on Ripple Street:
- House Party: You host a themed party at home using the products provided. These events often include games, recipes, and branded swag to help create a memorable experience. You are expected to invite 5+ people to the party so a lot of people can try out the products. It could just be your extended family. You will typically receive a lot more products because you will be sharing them.
Example: Barista Blends Coffee Party. They sent me 2 different bags of coffee, an apron, a mug, and a tote bag! Also a few decorations to help with the party theme.
- Chatterbox: You receive a product to try and share your thoughts online. No party required. These are ideal for individuals who prefer solo sampling and not deal with inviting other people. This could take a few forms. You could receive:
- A gift card (usually $5 -$15) to use to buy the product. Most of the time it’s a Visa gift card but sometimes it’s a specific store card. Many times, you will even have a few extra dollars left on it after buying the product.
- A coupon for the free product to use at the specified store
- The actual product shipped to you in a box
- Example: Voortman Cookies – I was sent 4 boxes (each a different flavor) of cookies shipped to my house. For Dippin Dots Sundaes – I was sent a $10 Visa gift card to use.
- Refund Events: You purchase a product upfront and receive a full refund after submitting a receipt. This operates more like a grocery rebate app (like Ibotta, Aisle ect.). They will send you an email with the Tremendous network refund. You can select how to receive the payment like Paypal, Venmo, Gift Cards, or Bank Transfer.
Unlike the House Party or Chatterbox options, you do not have to apply for the Refund events. You will be automatically selected as long as space is available. Spots may open up around 9 AM EST in the morning. However, they don’t open every day. So make sure to check around 9 AM every day to see.
Refund events offer more flexibility and quicker access to trending products. They’re ideal for users who want to try something new without waiting for shipping.
Example: Lysol Wipes – I purchased Lysol wipes from Target for $4.99, submitted a picture of my receipt, and received $5 back the next day. I selected Paypal as my refund method.

Complete your profile: Once you have created your account, you will be prompted to complete your profile by providing additional information, such as your mailing address, age, and interests. This information will be used to match you with relevant campaigns.
2. Browse Available Campaigns
Once your profile is complete, head to the “Apply” or “Refund” sections to view current campaigns. Each listing includes a description of the product, campaign requirements, eligible stores, and application deadline. Some campaigns are open to all users, while others may be restricted by location.
3. Apply
When applying, take time to answer all questions carefully. There will only be a few quick questions, usually multiple choice. Refund events don’t require this.
5. Complete the Additional Tasks
After the initial application, they will expect you to complete a few more tasks to increase your chances of being selected. These are almost always to create a post on social media, complete a quick survey, and to submit a picture of you holding the product in the store. They are not required but if you want to greatly increase your chances of being selected, I recommend you complete them. You can find this in the “To Do” section.

Chatterbox kits are usually smaller but still generous with at least one full sized product. Refund events require you to purchase the product yourself and submit a receipt for reimbursement.

Make sure to complete all requirements for each event. The more events you complete, the more Ripple Street will trust that you will complete the requirements and therefore select you again. Ripple Street has something called “Ripple Street Cred” which is a rating on how much you complete. If you don’t complete a required action, your cred goes down. If you do complete everything, your cred will go up. You want to be as close to 100% as possible. Sometimes there are bonus requirements like reviewing more than one flavor which will help give this rating a boost. Also completing the additional actions during the application process count too. So, make sure you only apply to events you think you can complete actions for (like take a picture of the product in store). Make sure you stay as close to 100% as possible! I’m around 90% and still get selected often.
Make sure the required retailer is available near you before applying. For example, I have seen requirements such as “Available to Meijer Shoppers”. Meijer isn’t available near me so I would never be able to participate.
