Is Merryfield Legit?
The short answer is yes! Read below for more information.
What Is Merryfield, and How Does It Work?
Merryfield is a receipt scanning app like Ibotta or Fetch. Purchase a qualifying product, open the app, upload the receipt, and receive a rebate back. Merryfield positions itself as a reward platform for conscious shoppers. Unlike broad rebate apps like Ibotta or Fetch that reward any purchase, Merryfield focuses exclusively on brands that meet its Clean Label Standards. These include bans on artificial colors, high fructose corn syrup, parabens, and over 2,500 other questionable ingredients.
Here’s how the process works step-by-step:
- Download the app (available for both iOS and Android) – NOTE: Make sure you use the code O6E9MQ to get a sign up bonus of $4 (4,000 points). You must use a code to get the bonus.
- Shop qualifying brands like Applegate, Health-Ade, GoMacro, Stonyfield, Barilla, and Seventh Generation
- Snap and submit your receipt within 14 days
- Earn points and redeem them for gift cards to Target, Amazon, Starbucks, Whole Foods, and more
- You can redeem once you hit $5 worth of points (1000 points = $1)
- There are 10-15 higher value “Special Offers” at a given time which is the main part of this app that matters. There are also regular brand deals which at most are 5% back.
- You can link certain accounts like Target or Walmart to automatically scan your receipts. I don’t generally recommend this due to the potential for missing points.

My Experience & Key Observations
I tried Merryfield across multiple stores, Sprouts, Whole Foods, and Target. Here’s what stood out:
Highlights
- User-friendly interface: Clean layout and easy receipt uploads
- Strong customer support: Quick replies and resolution when I had an issue with missing points
- Fast Reward Processing: Gift cards typically arrive within 24 hours of redemption.
- Mine have arrived within 1 hour
- Flexible gift cards: You’re not locked into niche rewards. Merryfield offers useful options like Amazon, which you can use for anything. I’ve successfully cashed out multiple times without issue, usually with Amazon gift cards
Drawbacks
- Limited brand list: If you shop for mainstream groceries, many items won’t qualify
- Low value offers: There are usually only 10-15 “Special Offers” which are considered high value. However, high value still only means $1-$3 back in most cases.
- The standard brand offers only give 5% back at the max, with many just being 1 point per dollar spent (essentially nothing).

Pro Tips for Maximizing Merryfield
- Stack With Other Apps: Use Merryfield alongside Ibotta, Fetch, Social Nature, and Aisle to maximize rewards on a single purchase.
- Shop Where Clean Brands Thrive: Whole Foods, Sprouts, and health food sections in Target or ShopRite give you a better shot at qualifying purchases.
- Check Offers Weekly: Merryfield adds bonus point offers regularly
- Use Gift Cards Strategically: Turn Merryfield rewards into Amazon credit to snag essentials or birthday gifts.
Who Is Merryfield Best For?
Merryfield is ideal for:
| Shopper Type | Why It Works for Them |
| Health-conscious families | They already buy clean-label items and shop at Whole Foods/Sprouts |
| Coupon/deal hunters | Stackable with other apps—double dip on deals |
| Frugal | A simple way to shave a few dollars off groceries |
| Eco-conscious consumers | Supports brands with ethical manufacturing |
If you’re just looking to earn faster cash on most groceries, receipt, apps like Fetch or Ibotta might suit you better. But if clean products matter to you, Merryfield is one of the better options around.

Final Verdict
Is Merryfield worth it? For those who care about cleaner and healthier products while wanting to save a few dollars then yes it is. I mainly recommend it for its great stacking ability with deals from other rebate companies and apps. Companies like Aisle and Social Nature commonly have deals at Whole Foods and have the same products and brands found on Merryfield.
Deal Example: Cleveland Kitchen Everything Sauce. It was on sale for $3 and Merryfield had a $3 back offer making it free. However, Ibotta also had a $3 back offer which made it a $3 money maker.
The only issue with the app is the limited brand list and smaller value offers. I have received around $50 cash back in the form of Amazon gift cards over the past 2 years. So it isn’t much, but it has helped make some offers into freebies or money makers. The app has great potential so hopefully they will continue to add more brands and offers in the future.
Overall, I think everyone who uses grocery rebate apps should give Merryfield a download.
