Product Testing or Apply to Try is a type of freebie where you apply to test out a product and then get to keep it in exchange for your feedback. These products are usually full sized and can sometimes be very high value. If you don’t complete the feedback your account will usually be closed. I find most feedback requirements only take 5-10 minutes to complete at most, so it is definitely worth doing. Feedback usually includes some or all of the following:

Leaving a written review
Submitting a picture of the product
Completing a survey about the product

Ripple Street

Best for: Food & drink products

Ripple Street is a platform that allows users to host parties and events in exchange for free products from various brands. Here is a step-by-step guide on how to use Ripple Street:

Create an account: To get started with Ripple Street, go to their website at https://www.ripplestreet.com/ and create an account. You will need to provide your name, email address, and create a password.
Complete your profile: Once you have created your account, you will be prompted to complete your profile by providing additional information, such as your mailing address, age, and interests. This information will be used to match you with relevant campaigns.
Apply for campaigns: After you have completed your profile, you can browse the available campaigns and apply to host a party, event, or “chatterbox”. Click on a campaign that interests you and read the requirements and details for hosting the event.
Apply to host: To apply to host a party or event, click on the “Apply” button and answer a few basic questions. There are 2 main events to apply for. A party event requires you to throw a party with the items sent to you to promote the brand. The other is a chatterbox where they will send you a coupon or $5-$10 gift card to go pick up a free item in the store so that you can try it and share your opinion. After the initial application, they will expect you to complete a few more tasks to increase your chances of being selected. These are almost always to create a post on social media, complete a quick survey, and to submit a picture of you holding the product in the store. They are not required but if you want to greatly increase your chances of being selected, I recommend you complete them.
Get selected: If you are selected to host a party or event, you will be notified by email. You will receive a party kit with free products to share with your guests or a free coupon or gift card to pick up the item in a store.
Host the event: Once you receive your party kit, you can host your party or event according to the guidelines provided by Ripple Street. Make sure to follow the instructions carefully and have fun!
Share your experience: After your party or event is over, share your experience on social media using the designated hashtags and tags provided by Ripple Street. You will be expected to leave a review on the Ripple Street website as well as complete their post event survey.
Apply for more campaigns: If you had a positive experience hosting a party or event with Ripple Street, make sure to check back regularly for new campaigns that you can apply for. The more you participate and complete the required tasks, the more likely you are to be selected for future campaigns.

Members of Shoppers Army can sign up for product testing campaigns and receive free products to test and then share their opinions about the products. The company works with a range of well-known brands across various industries, including beauty, food, household, and more. The goal of Shoppers Army is to help brands get feedback on their products and to help consumers discover new products and share their experiences with others. Shoppers Army only has occasional product test freebies. However, it can still be worth it to create an account. I have received a few different things for free such as tide laundry pods, deodorant, and paper plates. Below are steps on how to get started.

Create a free account on the Shoppers Army website by providing your basic information, such as your name, email address, and demographic details.
Apply to their free item campaigns (it says “try for free” on the mission) I typically ignore all other items that are not free.
If you are selected, they will have you purchase the product in store at a local retailer and submit a picture of your receipt for the rebate.
You will then need to review it on the Shoppers Army website and sometimes on the retailer’s website as well.
Receive the rebate. The rebate funds go into your Shoppers Army account. These funds can only be cashed out via gift cards like Amazon and Walmart, and it takes at least a month. So, if you need the money back right away this isn’t the website for you.

Influenster

Best for: Free full size, luxury beauty and fragrance products

Examples of items received: Full sized fragrances such as Tom Ford, Nautica deodorant spray, also some food items through their cash back program like Quaker Oats cereal

Influenster is a product review platform that offers consumers the opportunity to try and review products for free. It works by matching members with relevant product testing campaigns from a range of well-known brands across various industries including beauty, food, household, and more. Influenster members are selected based on their interests, demographics, and social media presence. Once selected for a campaign, members receive a free product to test and share their opinions about it with others. Members are encouraged to share their experiences on social media, write reviews, and provide feedback to the brand. Influenster also offers a community where members can engage with each other, ask questions, and provide advice on products. The goal of Influenster is to help brands get feedback on their products while helping consumers discover new products and encouraging them to share their experiences with others. Check for available campaigns: Check the website regularly for available campaigns that match your interests. When you find a campaign that you’re interested in, read through the details and requirements to ensure you’re a good fit for the campaign.
Apply for the campaign: If you’re interested in participating, apply for the campaign by filling out the application form provided. This may include answering a survey or questionnaire, sharing your social media accounts, or providing other information.
Wait for approval: After you submit your application, you will need to wait for approval. Influenster will notify you if you’re selected to participate in the campaign.
Receive the product: If you’re selected to participate in the campaign, Influenster will send you the product for free. You’ll be asked to test the product and share your experience with others. They also have a cash back program on the app. Here you can purchase the specified product, submit the receipt, and then write the review in the app and they will give you a full refund for the price of the product sent directly to your Paypal account. The items are usually food, but I have seen books and a few other things as well. You can automatically get accepted into these by clicking on “Claim”. They only have a certain number of claims available so I recommend claiming it sooner rather than later.
Share your experiences: Once you’ve tested the product, share your experiences with others by writing a review and sharing on social media. Be sure to follow the campaign guidelines and disclose that you received the product for free.
Repeat: Keep an eye out for future campaign invitations and participate in as many as you can. The more campaigns you participate in, the more likely you are to receive free products in the future.

Receive the product: If you are selected to participate in a campaign, you will receive the product in the mail. Make sure to follow any instructions provided by Topbox Circle on how to use the product.
Test the product: Use the product as instructed and pay close attention to its features and performance. Take notes on your experience using the product and be honest in your assessment of its strengths and weaknesses.
Leave a review: Once you have had a chance to use the product, log back in to the Topbox Circle Beta platform and leave a review of the product. Be detailed and provide specific examples of your experience using the product.

Best for: Free food, personal care, and household items (typically from Walmart)

Receive the product: If you’re selected to participate in the campaign, The Insiders will send you an email stating that you were selected, and additional instructions on how to participate. This typically involves purchasing the product at a specific retailer (usually Walmart). You then submit a picture of your receipt to their website, and they will send you a Visa gift card via email that covers the cost. In fact, most of these campaigns will make you money on top of the free item as the rebate is usually larger than the item price.
○ For example, a previous program was to buy 2 Act mouthwashes from Walmart, and they would give you a $40 Visa gift card. The mouthwashes only cost around $15 total, so I got to keep the difference. Occasionally they have programs that send the item directly to your house as well.
Share your experiences: Once you’ve tested the product, share your experiences with others. This includes writing a review on The Insider’s website, writing a review on the retailer’s website, and sharing on social media. Be sure to follow the campaign guidelines and disclose that you received the product for free.
Complete the campaign: After the campaign is over, The Insiders will ask you to complete a final survey or questionnaire. This helps the company gather feedback and improve their products.

Important note: You will see that there are a lot of electronics and expensive items to apply for. These are not free; you just get a discount on them. I would skip these unless you actually want to buy the item. They will typically tell you at the start of your application whether it is a free item or just a discount. Best for: A large range of products – everything from personal care to household appliances

Hometester Club is a platform that allows you to test and share your experiences with various household products for free. It is one of the largest ones out there with tons of products to apply for. Follow the guide below to get started, and get some free products sent your way.

Sign up: The first step is to sign up for a free account on Hometester Club’s website (listed below). You will need to provide some basic information such as your name, email address, and demographic information.
Complete your profile: After signing up, complete your profile by providing additional information such as your household size, income, and preferences. This information will help Hometester Club match you with relevant products to test.
Check out the “Test” section of their website. It will show a list of available opportunities (usually 6 or more). Choose an opportunity that interests you and complete the survey which helps them ensure you’re a good fit for the product test. There is no guarantee that they will select you, and it may help to review a few random items on their website beforehand. They have a lot of items you can review but are not part of the free product campaigns.
Receive the product: If you’re selected to participate in the product test, Hometester Club will send you the product for free. Most of the time they send the product to you directly. However sometimes they will send you an Amazon gift card that covers the cost of the item and you will be asked to purchase it on Amazon. You’ll be expected to test the product and share your experiences by completing a review which sometimes includes pictures or videos.
Share your experiences: Once you’ve tested the product, share your experiences with others. This may include writing a review on the Hometester Club website, sharing on social media, or reviewing the product on a retailer’s website. Be sure to follow the product test guidelines and disclose that you received the product for free.
Repeat: Keep an eye out for more opportunities as new ones are posted often. Participate in as many as you can because the more product tests you participate in, the more likely you are to receive free products in the future.

Best for: A large range of items. This site will give you the chance to receive very expensive items like a new dishwasher.

Examples of items received: La Mer skincare, Dr. Scholls Shoes, Sealy’s Bed Topper, Force Factor supplements

BzzAgent is a platform that allows you to receive free products in exchange for sharing your experience with them. This product testing site will give you the chance to receive the most expensive products out of this list. I have received a $300 Sealy’s bed topper and multiple pairs of shoes worth around $100, plus a lot more. Here is a guide on how to get free stuff with BzzAgent:
